In September 2019, the interactive Fritz Bauer Library went online with its stories of resistance and survival in Bochum. Named after the lawyer, social democrat and Auschwitz prosecutor Dr. Fritz Bauer (1903-1968), it is about the story “In the struggle for the rights of man”, which coincides with the history of our democracy. Now Fritz Bauer’s courageous commitment to democracy and human rights is given a place in Bochum, where human rights education through the media also becomes tangible.
Irmtrud Wojak, Jennifer Haas, Sven Rüsberg and Astrid Thews present the project, for which the BUXUS STIFTUNG has found a fascinating location in Bochum in the former Havkenscheid mourning hall, and invite you to an exciting seminar and workshop.
The event is the start of a workshop series of the Volkshochschule Bochum together with the Bochum Public Library on the construction and story writing in the Fritz Bauer Library.
